About

Georgii Antipin

Indie game developer & designer — from the Sakha Republic, based in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

I'm an indie game developer and designer. I grew up in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in the Russian Far North, and that cold, particular place still runs through almost everything I make.

The short version of my career is a decade of front-end engineering — architecting and maintaining production web systems in JavaScript and TypeScript — followed by three years of UX/UI design, working design-system-first in Figma. Somewhere in there I started making games, and they took over.

In 2024 I released The Echoes of Mars on Steam: a voxel-art tower defence I built entirely on my own, from gameplay code to UI to art. Before that I made Sakha Civilisation, a Civilization VI mod that brings my own people into a game I love. My design work — identities for independent media, events, and startups — is part of the same instinct: make the thing feel like itself.

The work I'm proudest of came out of the people and places that shaped me — NEFU, MYTONA, Medcol, and Kasvu Labs — and a family that backed a strange, solitary ambition. I'm always glad to talk shop.
